HUISHAN LIU

Huishan Liu is a multidisciplinary and intercultural corporate communicator active in editorial strategic branding and designing with marketing creative.
She currently is a full-time graduate student in the PublicRelations and Corporate Communication master’s degree program at New YorkUniversity. She will graduate with honors in May of 2020. Prior to attending graduate school in New York, she received Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law degrees, a double major in Beijing.
In her third year of undergraduate school, she went to Kyushu University in Japan for one year as an exchanging student, where she learned Japanese language and courses about diversity, sociology and environment issues with a straight A transcript. It was an international program with students from everywhere in the world that cultivated her intercultural and global sensitive.
With school classes lighting the way, Huishan dug in deeper with several extracurricular pursuits. She was an intern, editing director, at CCTV-1, participating in the program Gathering at Chinese Festival - Our 2017 to celebrate the New Year's Eve with top TV ratings. She was the Editor-in-Chief and program director taking charge of CAU’s digital media studio, producing weekly posts with interviews of 30+ influential alumni. She was also the chief editor of her School Newspaper Office, where she worked for the monthly-published newspaper, planned events, generated ideas for stories, and managed the department.
These experiences have been catalysts to developing her storytelling ability and strategic leadership. Most recently, she served as a strategic marketing intern at MTY, Group Inc., a brokerage firm in the World Trade Center. In this role she coordinated with daily social media operations, digital marketing, and strategic branding campaigns, especially UX/UI designing. As a result of her efforts, she tripled the numbers of users of the company’s website during the second month of her internship. She also promoted leads and brand awareness.
In addition to school study and work for CCTV, MTY and other organizations, Huishan is a freelance illustrator of hand-painted art and blogger of lifestyle and travel. She also freelances as a portraitist, drawing for friends’ graduate ceremonies, couples who contact her for portraits painting to update their profile photos and so on. She writes stories in life to her 7000+blog subscribers with personal initiatives shared.
With a proven track record of accomplishments both academically and as an employee, Huishan is continually working to expand her skill set. She is looking for a position in film production or e-sports development. In that role, she can devote her experience, insight and competence to an individual or organization, to move their story onward and help them thrive.
